Matt is a professional archaeologist with 11+ years experience in conducting research, excavations, and laboratory analysis. His research ranges from North American historic and prehistoric archaeology to excavations in Egypt. He is currently employed as an archaeological crew chief for AECOM as well as a United States Marine Corps Reservist.

Matt also is working on his M.A. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2013 Matt assisted Penn Museum’s Dr. Josef Wegner in the discovery of the previously unknown pharaoh Woseribre Senebkay in the southern Egyptian site of Abydos. His current research in the program centers on human skeletal material from the Senwosret Temple Cemetery at the same location.
